In Honour of Raoul Wallenberg: Ottawa

The city of Ottawa annually honours individuals “whose selfless efforts enriches the lives of [their] fellow human beings” with "The Lending Hand" humanitarian award which recognizes the courageous work of Raoul Wallenberg. There is also a commemorative statue of Wallenberg in the Raoul Wallenberg Park at 397 Viewmount Drive, Nepean, instated in 1987.

A powerful travelling exhibit about Wallenberg was recently hosted in the Canadian War Museum of Ottawa in cooperation with the Toronto Reference Library and the Swedish Embassy in Ottawa, entitled, “To Me There’s No Other Choice” (2012-2013) in honor of the 100th anniversary of his birth.
